100+ Petunia Hybrid Mixed Color Flower Seeds-PETUNIA X HYBRIDA-B050 Petunia, Hybrid Choice Mixed Colors.

Few plants rival petunias for ease of care, range of color and masses of sweetly scented flowers from summer until fall. This is an old-fashioned “multiflora” type of petunia, with more fragrant flowers ranging from white to pink to purple. Petunia Hybrida plants are the most popular and widely used summer flowering annuals, and they are easily started with Petunia seeds. This variety is not as compact, so it can grow up to 16 inches tall, but it holds up better to rain and water than larger flowering types such as the Grandiflora series. This mix is an excellent choice for beds, borders, planters, window boxes and hanging baskets, and it will bloom from late spring until frost season begins in the fall.

Sow Petunia flower seeds indoors 10 - 12 weeks before planting out. The flower seeds are extremely tiny, so press them gently onto the soil surface without covering, and keep the soil wet for the best germination. Five or six weeks after sowing the seeds, transplant the seedlings into 3 inch pots, and grow on in cooler temperatures with plenty of light. Harden young plants for 10 - 14 days before planting outdoors after last frost date. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil.

When planting outdoors, pinch the young seedlings back to encourage branching. Petunia Hybrida care includes regular fertilization and deadheading the spent blooms. With care, these flowers will perform all season long. Petunia is genus of 20 species of flowering plants of South American origin. The popular flower of the same name derived its epithet from the French, which took the word petun, meaning "tobacco," from a Tupi–Guarani language. An annual, most of the varieties seen in gardens are hybrids.
