30+ Sedum Emperor's Wave Seeds-Sedum Telephium-New and Hard to find Sedum Succulent- Extremely Beautiful Sedum Stonecrop--C070

Description:

Sedum telephium 'Emperors Wave' was introduced in 2005. It is ideal for adding a curious splash of colour to a garden even in winter. ... Its succulent, blue-green foliage is shed by the time winter comes, but its seed heads remain in glorious shades of deep pink and purple. It is a gorgeous variety producing clusters of hot pink flowers with red centers, over radiant blue-green foliage; a great choice for beds and borders and is an excellent cut flower; heat and drought tolerant. Hugely impressive in any garden.

Emperor's Wave Stonecrop has masses of beautiful clusters of hot pink star-shaped flowers with red eyes at the ends of the stems from late summer to early fall, which are most effective when planted in groupings. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its attractive succulent pointy leaves remain bluish-green in color throughout the year.  The brick red stems are very colorful and add to the overall interest of the plant.

The Sedum flower with umbrella-like heads blooms from late summer until fall, and it has a height of 16 inches and spreads about the same amount. In fall, the flower clusters hold their form and turn brown giving interest to the fall and winter display. Sedum Emperor's Wave is a great choice for beds, borders, and it's especially stunning when planted in mass groupings. It makes a great cut flower, and it attracts butterflies and bees.

Growing:

Sow Sedum seeds indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the last frost is expected. Use small pots or flats and sterile starter mix. Pre-moisten the starter mix and sow 5 - 7 seeds per container. The Sedum Telephium seed is exceptionally small, so only press the seed into the moistened soil, and do not cover it. Keep the Sedum seeds moist but not saturated until they germinate. If seeds do not germinate, a cold period is recommended. Place tray or pots into the refrigerator for 1 - 2 weeds, and then repeat the warm temperature again. Germination can be erratic. Sedum flower care includes trimming the flowers back either in the fall or in the spring to neaten their appearance.

Sedum Stonecrop prefers to be planted in full sun and in well-drained even gritty soil. Perennial Sedum plants will tolerate most soil types and is drought resistant once it is established.
