Birds absolutely love millet seed, & will visit the heavily laden heads often. Grow them in containers near windows for a great close up view!
Growing: Start Panicum violaceum seeds indoors in the late winter for transplanting out once frost danger has passed. For those who prefer direct sowing, prepare a seedbed that receives full sun, and place the seeds in fine soil.
