Easy to grow, fast maturing and this new colour break will really liven up your salad bowl. An early variety producing cylindrical red roots with small white tips and pure white mild-tasting flesh perfect for salads.

 Radish Milais an easy to grow and quick to mature salad crop. Summer radishes are small, walnut-sized, round or cylindrical in shape and are eaten raw in salads. Winter radishes a larger and more turnip like. Like summer radish they can be eaten raw in salads or they can be cooked like a Turnip or Swede. Radish seedling leaves can also be used as cut and come again salad. Sow fortnightly from February to September for a constant supply of fresh radish. Sow radish seeds directly into shallow drills, around 1 inch deep, or under cloches. Germination normally takes 5 to 7 days. Thin out the seedlings as soon as possible, to give more space for maturing roots to swell, you can use the thinnings in salads. Radishes prefer moist fertile soil, with regular watering in dry periods to promote rapid root growth. This fast maturing variety produces early high yielding crops of sweet and succulent, mildly flavoured radish. The globe shaped roots of Radish Carmen have appealing bright red skins and a crisp, crunchy texture. Sowing Instruction: 30-35 days Sow March - February - September Harvesting: April - June; August - September Sow seeds very thinly 1cm (0.5in) deep in drills 15cm (6in) apart. Thin out seedlings to 3-5cm (1 to 2in) apart.
