Description:
This particular type of Pincushion Flower is a member of the Teasel family. It has big, slightly irregular ball shaped flowers in a full range of colours. Blooms are carried on long stems, making them suitable for cut flower arrangements. At 30 cm (12″) in height, the plants are useful in borders and mass planting. Timing: Sow indoors 8 – 10 weeks before planting out. Sow outdoors in early spring, when a risk of light frost is still possible. In mild winter areas, seeds can be sown in the fall.
